Success Stories

Leadership and Organization Development Programs

  • Cultural Transformation. Provided program management and executive coaching for a technically-focused federal agency's development program. As subcontractors, we turned around the engagement; built strong relationships with agency program managers; brought the cadre of 20 coaches and organization development consultants together in a more unified way; designed program strategies and standards, communicated/marketed the program to gain credibility and sponsorship; and created a well-received Coaching Skills for Managers course. After approximately 6 months, we transitioned this program to a newly-hired company employee after the team had increased client utilization by 135% and ensured that more than 200 agency mid-level and senior leaders were being well coached; individual, group, and team coaching initiatives were underway; all deliverables and component design documents were in place; a SharePoint site was designed and implemented; and agency marketing messages and materials were created and producing results. The program went on to earn the ICF Metro DC PRISM Award Honorable Mention and later earned top honors. 
  • Succession Management. Worked with the president and senior team of a private retail company to assess individual and collective capacity relative to business vision and core organizational values and competencies; identify the president's successor; define Individual Development Plans (IDPs); and coach these leaders to assume greater responsibility as they prepare to ultimately transition from a founder-led organization over the next few years. Developed a clear, practical, and transferrable model for executive succession along with supporting tools, coaching processes, and specialized program management guiding principals and practices.
  • Strategic Planning and Executive Development. Designed and implemented an executive development program for a premier financial services firm. This organizational capacity-building program included executive coaching, training, and management consulting and exemplified our ability to tie executive development to organizational strategy and execution. We facilitated strategic planning sessions and followed up with the senior team  as they achieved important outcomes over the span of several years. We targeted coaching and consulting efforts based on business needs and an assessment of organizational capability. Our trainers designed and delivered short, targeted, courses in Executive Presence, Building Trust, and Effective Communication. Our consultants provided tools to: create strategic and operational plans; integrate, track and communicate cascading goals; delegate constructively; run effective meetings; and skillfully communicate at the Board level and across the organization.

Leadership Coaching

  • A client discovered, planned for, and realized his dream of starting his own business within 6 months and is still thriving eight years later.
  • After more than ten years with her company, a client achieved her goal of being invited to the executive table within eight months. She continues to successfully lead important projects for her organization.
  • New leaders wanted to have an important conversation with their intact management team and used coaching skills as a framework to align their views on trust, setting expectations, and values-based leadership.

Management and PMO Consulting

  • Facilitated the Program Management Office (PMO) that directed a multi-million dollar – core business - SAP implementation for The Washington Post. We worked with the PMO to turn the program around and successfully launch despite numerous obstacles. Our efforts supported this client through SAP implementation expertise, program planning and leadership, team development, change management, governance, methodology, and integration.
