Mary Burrus, M.ED., PCC

Mary is a retired Air Force Colonel and leadership coach who has over 25 years of leadership experience, which includes leading large teams in complex organizations, solving organization-wide problems, and implementing large-scale initiatives. She has extensive experience in the strategic human resource management and training arenas.

Mary’s strengths are in team building, facilitating, leadership development and coaching individuals to reach their fullest potential. Her approach is dynamic and exploratory. She enables individuals to capitalize on their talents and seek more self-awareness. 

She has coached and facilitated growth in the government, military, nonprofit, and corporate sectors.  Some of her clients worked at IRS, DFAS, HRSA, US Army, and US Navy. Mary has worked with small as well as large teams who appreciate her dedication to creating spaces for their development.

Prior to becoming a coach, Mary was in the Air Force for over 31 years. Her assignments included: Chief of Human Resources, Deputy Chief of Staff, Executive Officer for 2-star General, Mission Support Group Commander, and instructor at the Air Force Officer Training School. Her passion for coaching and leadership was a direct result of working as a commander and an instructor at the officer training school.

Mary earned an M.Ed. in Education and a B.S. in Mathematics from Auburn University and an Executive Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University’s Institute for Transformational Leadership.
